Volunteer Sign Ups

Times:  9 AM to 1 PM

Location:  Please meet the team at the Eau Gallie Park and Ride lot just across from BCSO Animal Services.  Address is 5110 W Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32934. We will have signs out to direct you.

 

Please join the ROS team in cleaning up one of our shell sites! Gloves will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own work gloves from home.  We will be moving bags of shell and emptying them, as well as any other tasks which could include removing trash/old materials from the property and removing plants that may be overgrowing shell piles.  

 

Please note that there is no restroom on site since it’s a natural area.  There are tall grasses in some spots so volunteers should dress accordingly.  We recommend long pants and long sleeves to keep your skin protected, plus a hat and sunscreen.  Closed-toe shoes are mandatory (no flip flops, Crocs, Keens, etc.). Please dress accordingly for the weather.  All tools and instruction will be provided.  In order to be as sustainable as possible, we do not provide water bottles.  There will be water to refill a water bottle that you bring with you.  Light snacks are provided at breaks but please bring with you anything you will need for the morning.

 

You will receive an email closer to the day with further details as well as a volunteer waiver to be signed. Every volunteer must have a new waiver signed for the calendar year.
