Buffer Zone Planting December 16th

Event Chair: Restore Our Shores

DETAILS:

Join Restore Our Shores as we will be planting Florida native grasses and flowers along Sand Point Park in Titusville. This planting will create habitat for local wildlife and pollinators and reduce stormwater runoff from entering the lagoon.

When:  December 16th
Time:  10 am to 12 pm
Location:  Sand Point Park, 101 N Washington Ave., Titusville

This event is open to ALL AGES.  Although this isn't necessarily a water activity, you will be working alongside the water.  However, do expect to get dirty working with the dirt.  All tools and instruction will be provided.  This event is outside with little to no shade.  In order to be as sustainable as possible, we do not provide water bottles.  There will be water to refill a water bottle that you bring with you.  Light snacks are provided at breaks but please bring with you anything you will need for the morning.  Closed toe shoes are mandatory (no flip-flops, Keens, or Crocs).

A volunteer waiver will be needed to be submitted if you haven't volunteered with us before.  The waiver will be emailed to you prior to the event.

*Please let us know if you need us to fill out a form verifying your volunteering time with us.  Please bring the form with you the day of the event, or we can provide you with one.  This will need to be done the day of the event.

Let us know if you have any questions!
