Event Chair: Restore Our Shores

DETAILS:

We are looking for volunteers ages 15 and over to help us cut metal that we use to make gabions for our upcoming oyster reef season.  You must be able to work outside during your shift.  This is NOT a water activity.  Please wear clothes that can get dirty and protect yourself from metal (long sleeves/pants).  Volunteers will be cutting metal with tools provided.  Closed toe shoes are mandatory (no Crocs, Keens, or flip flops) and it's advised not to wear jewelry that can get snagged onto the metal.

Please bring with you a refillable water bottle and anything else you will need for the duration of the event.   Light snacks are provided (i.e. small bags of chips).

Location:  1795 Cogswell St., Rockledge, FL.  Carpooling is advised. 

A volunteer waiver will be need to be submitted in order to volunteer.  If you have already volunteered with us this year, you will not need to submit another waiver.  The waiver and a reminder email will be sent a few days prior to the event.  Please keep any eye on your spam mailbox in case it is sent there.

*Please let us know if you need us to fill out a form verifying your volunteering time with us.  Please bring the form with you the day of the event, or we can provide you with one.  This will need to be done the day of the event.
