I’ve developed a passion for conservation at a very young age and always knew I wanted to help ‘Save the World.’ Raised along the coast, the water has become second nature to me and made marine and estuarine conservation an important part of my life. I enjoy overseeing a dynamic team of ambitious community-minded conservationists who are dedicated to the preservation and restoration of our natural resources and promoting a sustainable community. I also value the dedication of our extended team—our volunteers, their contribution is invaluable. My background in environmental education and animal behavior makes it easy to share conservation and sustainability messages to our community. I also find it exciting to help people incorporate eco-friendly choices that can make a real difference to the future of Florida.

I’m an outdoors enthusiast raised in SW Florida. I’ve spent many weeks romping around the woods, oceans and mountains, and my passion for restoration comes from wanting to protect and restore these wonderful places. I hope to visit every National Park in the US (25% finished!).

I’m from Miami, FL and I grew up visiting the Florida Keys with my family, this is where my love for the ocean and environment began. Plastic pollution and climate change are the most important environmental topics to me and I believe our program does our part to impact both. My goal is to leave the earth a better place for my baby daughter and the next generations. I also love pizza!

Most of my life I have spent moving from coast to coast and everywhere in between, gathering experiences and inspirations that have forged my love for wildlife and the environment. After having a childhood encounter with Keiko, the cinematically famous orca, I’ve been enamored with the ocean and marine life. It was no surprise that I later earned a B.S. in biological science with emphasis in marine biology and a Masters of Marine Environmental Science with a focus in Education. I love to be outdoors exploring, and I’m passionate about finding new solutions to address proper stewardship of the environment and bringing awareness to actions individuals can take to restore, conserve and protect all life on our planet.

I’m a loving mother to a bearded dragon and grew up in Brevard County. I studied Marine Biology at the University of West Florida in Pensacola and have found my way back home hoping to make lasting contributions to our natural environment. I’ve always been interested in marine life and will continue to do everything in my power to conserve it.

Raised close to Baltimore, Maryland, I have been in love with the ocean and its wildlife since I was seven years old.  While growing up, my family and I have traveled to over half of the United States and visited at least one zoo and aquarium in each of those states.  My passion for wildlife conservation comes from viewing amazing creatures due to zoos and sanctuaries and wanting future generations to be able to have that experience, too.  It’s what drove me to earn my Masters in Conservation Technology. I’m an avid sports fan and love the outdoor culture in Florida.

Raised in Groton, Connecticut, I earned a B.S. in marine biology and an M.S. in ecology and conservation biology from Florida Institute of Technology. After spending the last half of a decade traveling around the world as a marine scientist and educator, I decided to join the Zoo’s Restore Our Shores program to help focus on the amazing conservation projects closer to home, like the Lagoon. I love oysters (of course) but also have a passion for sharks, pollen and climate change studies, both past and present. I’m super excited to work with the community to help restore our shores!
